Retro 8-bit Computers are a true passion of mine! I’m trying to save as many as I can, and I have a list of machines I’m looking to add to my collection, but I’d happily work on anything to help save them. You will be able to see my collection as part of NEON RetroFest, whenever it starts up again.

The NEON Sunrise Project is my love letter to 1980s and 1990s computing. This is my open-source, open-community project to make the computer I always wanted growing up. Based around the WDC 65C816 Processor, to support both 8 and 16-bit applications, and expansion for peripherals and hacking alike.

I write a Substack on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Ethics.

I have a Maker Space, which at present is mostly a wood shop, but I’m looking to add other tools out there to get creative. Over the summer I added a 3D Printer to the mix and now I’m pumping our Retro Computer Accessories as well as useful tools!

There’s a Store now too, for your Chef_Tom merch!

And to top all that off, I’m a recovering Synthwave DJ, so I have a lot about music, shows, pictures, reviews, and anything else that I’ve done there.

I hope you find what you’re looking for here, there’s a little bit of everything for everyone.

Welcome to RealChefTom.com

It all began with an idea. To do something.
To reach out and build a community.
Or several…

Welcome to the home of my overly scrambled mind. Here you will find things as neatly organized as I can make them.
