Plant City PVD

Rhode Island Is just starting to open back up. This week I got to dine under the new tent at Plant City in Providence. My favorite human and I had an awesome dinner and drinks.

Their social distancing protocols were above and beyond. But they did a great job with setting things up so that it still felt right.

We started with a round of margaritas and some nachos. Oh, did I mention that this is a vegan restaurant? Because that's butternut squash queso. And it's amazing.

The BV Burrito

They only have the New Burger and Bar Verde concepts feeding out to the dine in guests (you can still get food from the cafe and the Double Zero concept as takeout), but that didn't bother us as we stuck to the Mexican menu.

This was my first go-round with the BV Burrito. They do such a great job with the presentation. The crema, mole, and queso drizzled over the top in the zebra stripes is gorgeous. Then you get into it and it's the best burrito I've had in a long time.

Everything was served in disposable containers, but that's what we have to do these days. However, this is all plant-based plastics which are bio-degradable and compostable. It's always been like that here for take out and delivery though. One reason they get so much of my business.

Additionally, I was able to score a box of Beyond Breakfast Sausages to take home and try, which I'll write up another day.

I'm looking forward to getting back here again real soon.
