Building the C=128 Power Cupply

Several weeks ago, I bought a Commodore 128 computer. It wasn’t in great shape physically, and I bought it as-is, untested. I figured I could get it working if I diagnosed it enough. But most importantly, it came without a power supply.

I’ve watched Jan Beta’s videos on building C64 power supplies, so I figured this wouldn’t be much harder. The biggest part was splitting out the 9V AC from the 5V DC. Thankfully those are both components that I could source. I needed to take a couple of trips out the the shop to get everything fitted properly, which helps overlap with the MakerSpace.

And, other than some confusion I had with the wiring of the 9V transformer, I think it went pretty well.
